Add a Blog

You can have course-wide blogs (everyone in the course posts to the same blog), group blogs, or private individual blogs; the latter are useful for activities where students keep journals that are assessed by the instructor.

Settings:

Allow comments

Individual blogs

No (blog together or in group): Individual blogs are not used – There are no individual blogs set, everyone is part of a bigger community (depending on 'Group mode' setting).

Separate individual blogs: Individual blogs are used privately – Students can only post to and see their own blogs. Instructors always have access.

Visible individual blogs: Individual blogs are used publically – individual users can only post to their own blogs, but they can view other individual blog posts.

Student view and features

The course view of the blog automatically includes blocks like introduction (if enabled), tags, usage and RSS feeds. Students can include images, video, audio and attachments, such as PDF files, in their posts.
