Add a Label

Instructors can use Labels to create titles or subtitles in course sections on your main course page, which can be an effective way to organize content.  For example, if you have several individual links to documents, you could use a Label to display a title in the section where they appear then group all of the document links below the label. Similarly, you could use labels to organize activities or assignments, so students have a better understanding of the flow of your course.

  1. Click Add an activity or resource link in the course section where you want the Label to be listed.
  2. Click the Label radio button in the Resources section, and click the Add button to continue.
  3. In the Label text editor box, enter the content as you want it to appear on the course main page.
  4. Click Save and return to course.
  5. You can now move the label to any location by clicking and dragging on the cross icon.

Labels can include not only text but also images or audio to enhance the look of your course and help students quickly identify resources.
